Privacy Policy

The Faith Made ("we", "us") operates the Faith Made app, which provides access to the 88-book Ethiopian Bible in text and audio, daily readings, prayer resources, related study tools, and the Fellowship community feed. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Email address and order number. Used to verify your purchase or free trial and to keep you signed in. Your email address is also the identifier for your account.
• Your profile. If you take part in the Fellowship, we store the display name, handle, and profile photo you choose.
• What you post to the Fellowship. Posts, comments, prayer requests, and any photos or videos you upload are stored on our servers so they can be shown to other members.
• Basic account activity. We record when you first signed in, when you were last seen, and how many times you have signed in, so we can tell active accounts from dormant ones and support you when something goes wrong.
• Reading activity on your device. Streaks, chapters read, and badges are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
• Questions you ask the Bible AI. Messages you send to the study assistant are processed to generate a reply and are not used to build a profile of you.

The Fellowship is public to other members

Anything you post to the Fellowship, including your display name, your profile photo, and any photo or video you attach, can be seen by other signed-in members. Please do not post anything you would not want another member to read. You can block another member, report a post or comment, or delete your own posts at any time from the "..." menu on each post.

Moderation

To keep the feed safe, posts, comments, captions, and uploaded images are screened automatically before or shortly after they appear, and our team reviews anything that members report. Content that breaks the community rules is hidden. This screening exists to protect members, not to profile them.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
• We do not use an advertising identifier.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, or the photo library on your device. We receive only the specific photos or videos you choose to upload.

How verification works

When you sign in, we check your email and order number against our store records (hosted by Shopify) to confirm an active purchase. Access is re-checked periodically while you use the app.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare to host the app and store its data, Shopify to process orders and manage purchase records, Anthropic to process Bible AI questions and content moderation, and Klaviyo to send account and membership emails. Each receives only what is needed to provide its function, and each acts on our instructions rather than for its own purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Sign-in sessions expire automatically. You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it at any time by emailing support@thefaithmade.com. Full instructions, and a breakdown of exactly what is deleted and what is kept, are on our account deletion page.

If you have an active membership, cancel it first. Your membership is billed against your account, so deleting the account while the membership is still running would leave a live subscription with nothing behind it. That causes failed charges, bank disputes, and payments you cannot see or stop from inside the app. To avoid that, we ask you to cancel at portal.thefaithmade.com, which takes a moment and needs no approval from us, and we then delete the account once the membership has ended. If you would rather do it in one step, email us and say so, and we will cancel the membership and delete the account for you.

Order and payment records are kept even after deletion, for up to 7 years, because we are required to retain purchase and tax records. Those records live with our store and payment providers, not in the app.

Children

The app is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
